into a silent room
green chair against the wall
is quiet but it calls

the walls were colored red
a calming shade of it
like sunsets in your eyes
as you ride your bike
Louisiana summer
the sky lit up like fire

don't forget, these moments when life feels real big
that's what the chair told me to do when I'm scared

as I sat down
and faced the farthest wall

I saw a picture there
of what I can't recall
it looked like everything
